Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse works in 8A ALC, Alternative Level of Care. The position supports interdisciplinary care through skilled standards, patient-focused practice, and strong communication. It requires independent practice, assessment skills, and effective patient and family teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide compassionate, collaborative, and competent nursing care
- Apply nursing science, theory, skills, and critical decision-making
- Maintain practice under professional standards and UHN policies




- Participate in continuing education for patient population needs
- Reflectively evaluate and modify nursing practice

Requirements:

- Complete an approved nursing program
- Hold Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Maintain current College of Nurses of Ontario competency
- Demonstrate strong physical assessment and crisis intervention skills
- Demonstrate communication, teaching, leadership, and organizational abilities
