Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will work with the CTO, DevOps, and Roofr’s security guild. Your work will strengthen security infrastructure, improve detection, and embed secure-by-design practices across engineering workflows. You will remain hands-on while building foundational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Harden AWS networks, firewalls, VPNs, WAF, IDS, and EDR
- Lead vulnerability assessments, prioritization, remediation, and service-level agreements
- Build SIEM and SOAR detection logic for real attack techniques
- Command incidents, coordinate forensics, and document post-incident reviews
- Maintain IAM hygiene,



cloud posture, policies, and compliance evidence

Requirements:

- Five to eight-plus years in security or infrastructure roles
- Hands-on AWS IAM, VPC, KMS, secrets, CloudTrail, or GuardDuty
- Incident response experience covering containment, forensics, and root cause
- Network security knowledge spanning TLS, DNS, routing, and segmentation
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience
