Support ECO6130 Public Economics: Expenditure at the University of Ottawa’s Main Campus through grading and student assistance in person. English-language work begins January 2027.

This Teaching Assistant position supports the Department of Economics during the 2027 Winter Semester. The work includes assignment and exam administration, invigilation, and individual or group student assistance. The position reports to Professor Jonathan Holmes and includes 65 total hours from January 1 through April 30, 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

- Correct and administer assignments and examinations
- Invigilate examinations as requested by the professor
- Assist students individually or in groups
- Complete other related tasks requested by the professor

Requirements:

- Hold a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Economics or equivalent
- Successfully completed ECO6130 or an equivalent course
- Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Brightspace is an asset
- Meet applicable CUPE 2626 collective agreement requirements
