Use instrumentation expertise at Canadian Natural’s Horizon Oil Sands in Fort McMurray, supporting mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and secure plant operations on 7x7 shifts.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will support Utilities and Upgrader Department goals at Horizon Plant Operations. The work includes daily maintenance, shutdowns, unplanned outages, planning, and coordination. You will oversee Mechanical team members and contractors while presenting solutions for equipment integrity, availability, and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support daily maintenance, shutdowns, and unplanned outage activities
- Review JHAs and FLHAs during daily planning meetings
- Develop and update procedures and preventative maintenance plans
- Coordinate maintenance activities, contractors, vendors,



and parts availability
- Complete permits, reports, work orders, and document control requirements

Requirements:

- Five or more years working with process analyzers or instrumentation
- Heavy oil, refining, petrochemical, or oil sands experience
- Alberta Instrumentation Journeyperson or Interprovincial Red Seal certification
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- CMMS, MAXIMO, Microsoft Office, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills
