Own financial close, reporting, and controls for a growing HVAC and mechanical services business in the Greater Victoria Area. Lead accurate results.

This Controller role offers responsibility across accounting operations and financial reporting. You will manage month-end and year-end close, financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysis. The position also covers project costing, inventory accounting, tax filings, and working capital oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial reporting packages and variance analysis
- Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts
- Oversee project costing, inventory, and profitability reporting
- Lead accounting team development and process improvement

Requirements:

- Five to eight years of progressive accounting experience
- Two-plus years as Controller or Assistant Controller
- CPA designation preferred
- People management or supervisory experience
- Residence within Greater Victoria Area required
