Use metal market expertise and negotiation skills as a Buyer with Richmond Steel Recycling in Richmond, BC. This is an in-office position.

The permanent, full-time Buyer reports to the Commercial Director and develops scrap metal sources for plant requirements. You will procure ferrous and non-ferrous materials, evaluate pricing and supply trends, and forecast monthly buy plans. The position supports volume, margin, and supply objectives within RSR strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage scrap procurement for ferrous and non-ferrous plant supplies
- Generate current scrap metal supply sources locally
- Negotiate supplier pricing within monthly guidelines
- Track supplier activity in BuyForce
- Coordinate purchased-material logistics with Transportation

Requirements:

- College degree or technology diploma in business or engineering
- At least two years’ scrap recycling or related experience
- Knowledge of sourcing and purchasing scrap metal
- Knowledge of ferrous, non-ferrous metals, and ReMA specifications
- Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and administrative skills
