This Geotechnical and Materials Testing Technician position addresses staffing needs beginning in Spring 2026. You will support large-scale engineering projects through soil, rock, and groundwater sampling, in-situ testing, and material compliance verification. The geotechnical team has contributed to the Réseau express métropolitain, Samuel-De Champlain Bridge, and Québec’s battery industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical testing and inspection following work instructions
- Sample and describe soil, rock, and groundwater
- Conduct in-situ geotechnical tests in soils and rock
- Verify granular material compaction and excavation bases
- Prepare site reports and non-conformance memos
Requirements:
- College diploma or degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- Knowledge of soil identification and measurement equipment
- Full proficiency in spoken French
- ASP Construction card, driver’s license, and personal vehicle
