Perform advanced ultrasound examinations as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with Vancouver Coastal Health, using abdominal, cardiac, and Doppler techniques.

This position supports patient and family-centred care across Lower Mainland Medical Imaging health authorities. You will complete diagnostic examinations, prepare patients, and enter information into imaging systems. The role includes collaboration with radiologists, cardiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff. It also reflects commitments to Indigenous Cultural Safety, Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and Planetary Health.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, and cardiac examinations
- Conduct peripheral vascular and small parts ultrasound examinations
- Prepare patients and complete diagnostic imaging requisitions




- Enter relevant data into diagnostic imaging information systems
- Use ultrasound, Doppler techniques, and related equipment

Requirements:

- Graduate of recognized cardiac and general sonography programs
- Certification through Sonography Canada or ARDMS
- Knowledge of aseptic and protected imaging equipment procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and healthcare teams
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
