Lead water infrastructure design and delivery with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors in Lethbridge, supporting southern Alberta projects and regular field travel.

This permanent, full time Water Projects Engineer reports to a Team Lead within Transportation and Economic Corridors. You will provide technical support and project oversight from planning through construction and asset transfer. The work involves consultant oversight, engineering design review, construction administration, and project management. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, communities, regulatory agencies, and internal partners while managing scope, budgets, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare project scopes and select engineering consultants
- Review designs, tender documents, and permit applications




- Conduct site visits for technical and environmental compliance
- Monitor construction progress and administer contracts
- Manage project scope, budget, timelines, and reporting

Requirements:

- Related university degree, such as Civil Engineering
- Eligibility for APEGA engineer-in-training status
- Alberta Class 5 licence or equivalent
- Ability to travel throughout Alberta
- Knowledge of civil engineering design and construction practices
