BCFMA seeks a full time Legal Counsel to advise staff on family maintenance law. You will prepare court cases, make appearances, communicate with stakeholders, and collaborate with legal assistants. The work supports the Agency’s free service tracking and collecting child and spousal support for BC families.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advise managers and enforcement officers on family maintenance law
- Prepare cases for Court and make representative appearances
- Deliver timely legal services with legal assistant team members
- Communicate effectively with payors and recipients

Requirements:

- Good-standing Law Society of British Columbia membership
- Minimum two years of Family Law and Court experience
- Familiarity with real estate transactions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
