Lead technical and investment decisions.This Development Engineer role focuses on In Situ project development and major capital planning. You will guide facilities studies, establish the Design Basis Memorandum, and build financial evaluations supporting investment recommendations.

Collaboration spans Development, Subsurface, Execution, Operations, Process Engineering, Regulatory, Commercial, and EPC contractors.Key Responsibilities:

Develop facilities and business cases for Firebag, Lewis, and growth projectsDefine DBM criteria, scope boundaries, interfaces, assumptions,



and revisionsTranslate technical and execution risks into project decisionsEvaluate capital, operating cost, schedule, production, and sensitivitiesOversee external EPC study scope and deliverablesRequirements:

P.Eng. registered or eligible for APEGA registration12+ years of development, engineering, or major project experienceAt least five years working directly on In Situ assetsIn-depth knowledge of SAGD CPF facilities and infrastructureExperience leading DBM development through FEEDBring SAGD facilities knowledge, economic evaluation capability, and DBM experience to Suncor’s In Situ growth projects in Calgary.
