Centric Software seeks a PostgreSQL Database Administrator for its R&D; Customer Support team. The Production DBA will troubleshoot complex systems, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering on fixes. Core work includes query tuning, replication, recovery, and operational guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze production incidents involving queries, infrastructure, and traffic
- Resolve PostgreSQL performance, availability, and data-integrity issues
- Review execution plans and recommend schema or indexing changes
- Support on-premises, cloud,



and self-managed PostgreSQL deployments
- Create runbooks and mentor support engineers and developers

Requirements:

- At least five years of hands-on PostgreSQL DBA experience
- Solid SQL, EXPLAIN, and EXPLAIN ANALYZE skills
- Experience with replication, Patroni, and recovery tooling
- Linux or Unix proficiency and shell scripting experience
- North America location with overlapping core team hours
