East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust seeks a motivated Biomedical Scientist for its Biochemistry team. The role covers analytical work, cross-site services, quality systems, and staff training support. You will rotate through departmental areas while developing knowledge and skills across acute laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rotate through different Biochemistry Department areas
- Participate fully in weekday, night, and weekend shift rotas
- Use Roche Cobas Pro analytical platforms
- Contribute to UKAS 15189 quality management standards
- Support the Training Officer with BMS training
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
- Specialist Portfolio in Biochemistry, or minimum 75% completion
- Suitable Biochemistry experience within an NHS setting
- Experience in an IBMS training-approved laboratory accepted
- Willingness to complete training and assessment before shifts
