Application Deadline: 11/29/2026 Address: 100 King Street West Job Family Group: Technology Role mandate Help shape and deliver practical AI-enabled solutions for Commercial and Corporate Banking. This role combines business consulting, structured problem solving, stakeholder leadership, and hands‑on use of AI tools. The Business Consultant will identify high‑value opportunities and, critically, break ambiguous and complex business problems into manageable workstreams, planned requirements, clear deliverables, owners, dependencies, and realistic timelines. The role supports initiatives from discovery through implementation and adoption. This is not a traditional requirements‑only role. The Business Consultant is expected to operate as both a consultant and a delivery coordinator, stepping into project‑management responsibilities when needed to maintain momentum, alignment, and accountability. The successful candidate must be intellectually curious about AI, comfortable learning as the technology evolves, and able to turn new capabilities into responsible, measurable business outcomes within a regulated banking environment.
What you will do
- Lead discovery with bankers, operations teams, product owners, risk partners, and technology teams to understand business objectives, pain points, workflows, decisions, data needs, and user experiences.
- Take ownership of ambiguous or loosely defined business problems.
- Establish clarity by separating symptoms from root causes, defining the problem and desired outcome, testing assumptions, and breaking the work into manageable, sequenced requirements and deliverables.
- Build practical workplans that identify activities, milestones, timelines, dependencies, decisions, owners, risks, and next steps,
then actively manage progress against the plan.
- Identify and assess AI, GenAI, intelligent automation, and decision‑support opportunities based on business value, feasibility, data readiness, user impact, risk, and implementation effort.
- Use AI tools directly to accelerate research, analysis, synthesis, process design, requirements development, communications, and other knowledge‑work activities, while applying appropriate judgment and controls.
- Translate business needs into explicit target‑state concepts, business requirements, process maps, user journeys, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sequenced roadmaps.
- Develop concise executive‑ready materials, including recommendations, decision papers, status updates, presentations, and business cases that clearly explain the problem, proposed approach, trade‑offs, risks, and expected value.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate working sessions, decision forums, and cross‑functional discussions.
- Prepare agendas and materials, guide the discussion, document decisions, assign actions, and follow through to closure.
- Act as a delivery coordinator or project manager when required by managing timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, stakeholder commitments, and status reporting to keep initiatives moving.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences and drive stakeholders toward clear decisions and accountable next steps.
- Partner with delivery teams to refine scope, prioritize backlogs, resolve ambiguity, support solution design, and maintain alignment between business intent and delivered outcomes.
- Coordinate business validation and UAT, including test scenarios, defect triage, stakeholder communication, readiness assessment, and sign‑off.
- Assess change impacts and support communications, training, adoption, and feedback loops so solutions are understood, trusted, and used.
- Embed responsible AI, privacy, data, security, risk, compliance, and governance considerations throughout the initiative lifecycle.
- Monitor the evolving AI landscape and proactively bring forward relevant capabilities, limitations, use cases, and implications for banking.

Examples may include Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot Studio, AI‑enabled analytics or automation tools, or comparable platforms. You can explain what you used, the problem it addressed, your approach, the outcome, and the limitations or risks you encountered.
- Genuine AI curiosity: You actively follow how AI is evolving, experiment with new capabilities, and can form a thoughtful view of where AI creates value and where human judgment and controls remain essential. Deep AI engineering experience is not required, but passive interest is not sufficient.
