Construction estimating expertise supports The Centron Group of Companies in Calgary, with detailed take-offs, costing, and project bid preparation. Analyze drawings and specifications across diverse projects.

The Estimator reports to the Chief Estimator and works closely with Project Managers. This role covers recreational facilities, commercial, residential, and healthcare projects. Estimates range from schematic floorplans through full tender drawings, requiring construction knowledge, analytical skills, and collaboration with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare estimates covering materials, labour, timelines, and project requirements
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, contracts, and construction documents
- Develop bids with project managers, engineers, and architects




- Conduct site visits and assess project conditions
- Present proposals and support post-bid cost updates

Requirements:

- Five to ten years of construction estimating experience
- Three years specific to large-scale multifamily residential projects
- Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree or diploma
- Estimating software proficiency, including On-Screen Takeoff or equivalent
- Knowledge of Calgary regulations, permitting, and municipal requirements
