Build optimisation models in Python and SQL for CircuitHub’s remote-first manufacturing platform, with regular factory visits across the UK and US.

As an Operations Research Software Engineer, you will model decisions across CircuitHub’s electronics manufacturing operations. Your work will cover optimisation, simulation, forecasting, pricing, and production planning. Models will run in planning and quoting systems, using tools including OR-Tools, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, dbt, and Dagster.

Key Responsibilities:

- Schedule orders, panels, and machines for throughput and delivery
- Model factory workflows, bottlenecks, and capacity requirements
- Estimate order costs and support pricing decisions
- Plan parts and consumables inventory requirements




- Deploy models into production systems and validate outcomes

Requirements:

- Quantitative background in operations research or a related field
- Experience applying models to real decisions
- Knowledge of linear, integer, or constraint programming
- Simulation and forecasting experience with data calibration
- Robust Python and SQL programming skills
