Insight Global is hiring on behalf of our client for a hands-on Operations Manager to lead a heavy truck dealership in Timmins, Ontario, representing the Freightliner and Western Star brands.

This is a key leadership role responsible for the day-to-day performance of the branch, with a strong focus on Parts and Service operations, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, team leadership, and business growth. The ideal candidate is a visible, engaged leader who enjoys working closely with employees, department leaders, and customers while driving strong operational and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support the Parts and Service departments, promoting strong communication and collaboration across the dealership.
- Support and empower department leaders to successfully manage their areas of the business.
- Foster a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet customers, owner-operators, local businesses, and key accounts throughout Timmins and Northern Ontario.
- Ensure customers receive responsive, qualified service with a strong focus on customer uptime and communication.
- Monitor departmental performance, productivity, expenses, budgets, and overall branch profitability.
- Identify opportunities to grow the Parts and Service business and strengthen the dealership's market presence.
- Work closely with manufacturer representatives and company leadership.
- Take ownership of customer concerns and ensure issues are resolved professionally and promptly.
- Remain visible and engaged with both employees and customers.

Skills and Requirements

- Leadership experience within a heavy-truck, heavy-equipment, transportation, dealership, Parts, Service, Fixed Operations, or similar operational environment.
- Experience working within Parts and/or Service operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of operational and financial performance, including budgets, expenses, productivity, and profitability.
- Hands-on, approachable leadership style with the ability to effectively support and develop teams.
- Strong customer-service skills and an understanding of the importance of shop productivity, parts availability, customer uptime, and timely communication.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, department leaders, customers, and senior leadership.
- Practical, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Desire to help grow the business and contribute to the continued success of the Timmins operation.
- Experience with Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit, or another major heavy-truck or heavy-equipment manufacturer.
