Lead high-voltage transmission and distribution operations at Suncor Firebag through safe, reliable, and compliant electrical decision-making. This is an 8-on, 6-off FIFO camp position.

As Senior Electrical Advisor, Transmission and Distribution, you will guide operational decisions across complex industrial power systems. The position emphasizes high-voltage systems, electrical safety, outage coordination, and asset reliability. You will support teams through maintenance, commissioning, startup, and emergent events while operating from a Suncor hub in Calgary, Edmonton, or Saskatoon.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate Suncor’s 13.8 kV to 260 kV transmission assets safely
- Lead decisions balancing safety, reliability, cost, environment, and production
- Guide responses to forced outages and equipment failures
- Coordinate switching, isolation planning,



and return-to-service activities
- Oversee contractors, work execution, safety performance, and service delivery

Requirements:

- At least five years of relevant electrical experience
- Recognized electrical qualification or electrical engineering degree
- High-voltage switching, grounding, protection, transmission, and distribution knowledge
- Robust electrical safety, LOTO, and safe work procedure knowledge
- Industrial or utility outage, commissioning, and operational readiness experience
