Overview The Science and Mathematics Tutor helps learners build understanding, confidence, and effective study habits across science and math topics. The role involves explaining concepts in accessible ways, adapting instruction to individual learning needs, and supporting progress in a welcoming learning setting.

Duties

- Provide tutoring and teaching in science and math, using examples, practice activities, and clear explanations to reinforce key concepts.
- Prepare learning materials, review student work, and adjust instruction to support different abilities, including special education needs.
- Use computer skills and relevant computer science tools to support lessons, learning activities, and student progress tracking.




- Communicate with colleagues about learning goals and progress while maintaining a supportive classroom environment.

Experience Required: Practical teaching and tutoring capabilities, clear communication, patience, and computer skills to explain concepts, adapt activities, and support student learning. Preferred: Experience working with children, classroom experience, and familiarity with special education or computer science can help tailor instruction and contribute to an inclusive, engaging learning environment.

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
