Lead mechanical design integrity at WESCAM through SolidWorks expertise, opto-mechanical knowledge, and technical leadership in Canada. This full time role supports product engineering.

The Mechanical Engineering Manager provides leadership across WESCAM’s extended mechanical engineering team. You will guide conceptual and detailed design, engineering validation, design reviews, and product development processes. The position also supports operational planning, resource decisions, continuous improvement, and new product introduction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical leadership to the extended mechanical engineering team
- Maintain mechanical design integrity across WESCAM products
- Lead conceptual, detailed, and validated mechanical subsystem designs




- Develop mechanical engineering processes, standards, and tool selections
- Support NPI projects with cost and schedule objectives

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree with nine years’ related experience
- Graduate degree with seven years’ related experience
- SolidWorks CAD design experience
- Knowledge of opto-mechanical and optical design principles
- Knowledge of machining, casting, sheet metal, and composites
