Lead complex tunnelling projects as a Senior Underground Infrastructure Engineer, applying tunnel design expertise and technical leadership across project lifecycles.

This senior role supports transport, water, utilities, and civil engineering schemes. You will guide safe, buildable, cost-effective designs while coordinating clients, contractors, designers, geotechnical specialists, and engineering disciplines. The position also supports less experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead tunnel design preparation, review, and approval
- Advise on tunnelling methods, temporary works, and ground conditions
- Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces, risks, and buildability issues
- Contribute to feasibility studies, tenders, cost assessments, and planning




- Review contractor submissions and technical queries during construction

Requirements:

- Qualified qualification in civil or tunnelling engineering
- Substantial underground infrastructure project delivery experience
- Strong tunnel design, construction, geotechnical, and risk knowledge
- Experience managing technical workstreams and stakeholder communication
- Relevant design software and accurate technical documentation experience
