Lead insurance licensing and regulatory audits as a Compliance Specialist with Optiom, working hybrid from Calgary, Alberta, or Langley, British Columbia.
Reporting to the Director of Compliance, you will manage licensing across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. The role covers audit preparation, complaint handling, privacy programs, and policy maintenance. You will also support Bamboo Premium Financing’s money-lending and premium financing obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Optiom’s insurance licensing lifecycle across three provinces
- Correspond with provincial insurance councils and FSRA Ontario
- Lead audit preparation and examination responses
- Run complaint-handling and privacy compliance programs
- Support Bamboo Premium Financing regulatory obligations
Requirements:
- Three or more years of direct compliance experience
- Active Level 2 licence or licensable within 60 days
- CIP designation or active progress toward completion
- Direct experience with a provincial insurance regulator
- Privacy, AML, or premium financing compliance knowledge
