Summary

Argus Security International is seeking a dependable, observant security guard to provide a visible security presence at a warehouse property in Calgary.

This position involves monitoring the exterior loading area from a stationary vehicle, along with scheduled foot patrols to check doors and identify security concerns. The successful candidate must remain alert, work independently and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

- Monitor the warehouse loading area and surrounding property for unauthorized access, trespassing, loitering, theft and damage.
- Address unauthorized persons professionally and follow site procedures, using de-escalation and requesting assistance when needed.
- Observe and document suspicious activity, including vehicle descriptions, license plates, descriptions of persons, times and locations.




- Conduct scheduled foot patrols, checking designated doors, gates and access points to confirm they are closed and secure.
- Report unlocked doors, signs of forced entry, damaged locks, poor lighting and other security or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate patrol logs, incident reports and shift handover notes.
- Complete required check-ins with dispatch or a supervisor.
- Follow site post orders and emergency procedures, contacting emergency services when required.
- Prioritize personal safety and request support when a situation cannot be managed safely.

Qualifications

- Valid Alberta security services worker license.
- Strong observation, communication and written reporting skills.
- Reliable attendance and a professional appearance.
- Ability to work independently and remain attentive throughout the shift.
- Ability to complete outdoor foot patrols in Calgary weather conditions.
- Comfortable using a smartphone or electronic reporting system.
- Previous warehouse, industrial or exterior security experience is an asset.
- Valid drivers license and a reliable personal vehicle.

Working Conditions This is an exterior security assignment with vehicle-based observation. Guards must remain awake, alert and focused throughout their shift.

Available Shifts

Saturday and Sunday day shifts Minimum 24 Hours per week

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Evening, Minimum 33 Hours per week
