Aircraft structures design drives this full time permanent Engineering position with Avmax in Calgary, Alberta. Apply aerospace principles, CAD, and structural analysis.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Engineering Structures II role supports aircraft design work at Avmax. You will use aerospace or mechanical engineering principles, AutoCAD or SolidWorks, analysis software, and technical judgment. The position involves aircraft structures, systems, equipment, and furnishings while supporting regulated engineering projects. Effective English communication, planning, risk management, and problem-solving are central to the work. Avmax’s engineering division is a Transport Canada authorized Design Approval Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design alterations to aircraft structures, systems, equipment, and furnishings
- Prepare and check detailed part, assembly, and installation drawings




- Analyze structures using hand calculations, finite element, and fatigue methods
- Maintain project paperwork under engineering procedures and DAPM requirements
- Support MRO, Avionics, Sales, and Customer Support departments

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or civil engineering
- Minimum three years of related engineering experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or analysis software
- Aircraft structures design and analysis experience preferred
- Effective written and verbal English communication required
