Drive AWS reliability for Samsung SmartThings as a Site Reliability Engineer, automating infrastructure and improving observability across high-volume systems.
This SRE/DevOps Engineer supports Cloud Engineering’s SmartThings team with reliable, scalable, and performant critical systems. You will collaborate with development teams, apply SLOs and automation-first practices, and manage cloud infrastructure. The work includes Kubernetes, Istio, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and observability tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enable highly available, scalable, cost-optimized applications
- Drive reliability improvements for services and infrastructure
- Manage cloud infrastructure, deployments, and releases
- Apply SRE principles through automation and SLOs
- Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations
Requirements:
- Seven or more years in SRE or DevOps roles
- Hands-on AWS and cross-cloud fundamentals
- Experience with Kubernetes and Istio
- Linux administration, networking, and security proficiency
- Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, and observability experience
