The Echocardiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging examinations under general supervision. This healthcare skilled applies anatomy, physiology, pathology, image acquisition, and equipment knowledge. The position supports quality care while maximizing available resources and maintaining appropriate, timely practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations using specialized cardiac sonography
- Image the heart and heart vessels with available equipment
- Apply anatomy, physiology, and pathology principles during examinations

- Collaborate with skilled healthcare professionals across the department
Requirements:
- Membership in good standing with CMRITO
- Graduation from a recognized echocardiography program
- Knowledge of Echocardiology standards and the Health Professionals Act
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
