Apply marine hull systems expertise in Victoria with AJISS Coastal Support, supporting naval vessels through maintenance, engineering changes, and defect resolution.

The Technical Specialist supports Thales-managed Royal Canadian Navy Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels and Joint Support Ship class vessels. This hybrid position combines office work with dockyard and onboard ship activities. You will assist Service Delivery and Engineering teams with corrective maintenance, certification management, planned maintenance changes, and structural issues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Investigate defects aboard ships or within Technical Document Packages
- Liaise with OEMs, service providers, and ship staff
- Develop Work Instructions and Statements of Work
- Provide advice on hull system operation and maintenance




- Support engineering changes, deviations, waivers, and onboard surveys

Requirements:

- Three-year marine technical diploma from a recognized technical institute
- Relevant technologist certification from a recognized licensing body
- Canadian Armed Forces QL 6A or 6B Hull Technician certification
- Solid marine hull systems maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge
- Fluent English and Microsoft Office working knowledge
