Design high-reliability power conversion equipment as a Senior Power Electronics Engineer in Bedford, Nova Scotia, using electrical design and verification expertise.

Reporting to the Manager, Hardware Engineering, you will lead assigned electrical design activities across requirements, trade studies, prototypes, qualification support, and production transition. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, software designers, customers, suppliers, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management. The position also provides technical guidance to developing engineers and supports recent-business assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead electrical design activities from requirements through production transition
- Develop prototypes to resolve key development risks
- Generate specifications, test procedures, reports,



and design analyses
- Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services
- Coach junior and intermediate engineers technically

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum seven years in electrical design and design for manufacture
- P. Eng. designation and Engineers NS registration eligibility
- Power supply design experience from 100W to 100kW
- Experience with schematic capture and layout tools
