PCB Layout Engineer

Actalent is seeking a PCB layout designer for complex electronic hardware programs. This is a permanent, full time, fully remote position in Canada, based out of Kanata, Ontario.

Responsibilities

- Create and maintain PCB footprints and component libraries.
- Design and update multilayer PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
- Perform component placement, signal routing, and power-plane design, including high-speed and impedance-controlled routing.
- Verify layouts, troubleshoot issues, support testing, and generate manufacturing and production files.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.

Qualifications

- At least four years of PCB layout design experience and experience with Altium Designer.
- Knowledge of multilayer and high-speed digital PCB design, signal integrity, power integrity, and manufacturing considerations.
- Familiarity with IPC standards is an asset.

Salary: $60,000-$90,000 per year. Individual compensation depends on qualifications, experience, location, and other job-related factors.
