SLR Consulting is seeking a Senior Building Acoustics Consultant to lead architectural projects, client relationships, and practice development in Canada.

You will act as a trusted advisor while guiding multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality acoustics and vibration solutions. The work spans current and retrofit projects, noise and vibration control, field measurements, and computational modeling. You will also contribute to proposals, market visibility, technical innovation, recruitment, and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

Lead new and retrofit projects for noise and vibration control

Conduct field measurements and develop sound and vibration models

Act as trusted advisor and technical lead for clients

Present at conferences and contribute to thought leadership





Promote technical excellence and innovation across projects

Requirements

10+ years consulting with strong architectural acoustics focus

Degree in engineering, physics, acoustics, or related discipline

Sound and vibration modeling and computational software experience

Experience training and mentoring junior and intermediate staff

Highly organized, adaptable, and innovative working style

Lead building acoustics delivery and client growth through technical expertise, modeling, communication, and staff mentorship at SLR.
