Remote-first Staff Software Engineer opportunity focused on distributed systems, event sourcing, and reliable order processing for restaurant operations. This Staff Software Engineer will shape and scale the Orders Platform while remaining hands-on. You will model, replicate, synchronize, and reconcile order data across web, mobile, and point-of-sale environments. The work spans offline-first architecture, CRDTs, idempotency, and conflict resolution. Key Responsibilities:

Define Orders Platform data modeling, storage, replication, synchronization, and reconciliation Build event-sourced systems resilient to partitions and partial failures Strengthen offline-first restaurant and point-of-sale workflows Lead architecture discussions, reviews, standards, and technical mentoring Improve observability,



replay, recovery, and order-state investigation Requirements:

Extensive experience operating correctness-critical distributed systems Hands-on event sourcing, CRDTs, or comparable replicated data approaches Solid understanding of idempotency, concurrency, replay, projections, and reconciliation Staff-level architectural leadership with active hands-on development Strong backend engineering and communication skills Apply distributed systems expertise, event sourcing, and backend engineering to strengthen reliable restaurant ordering infrastructure.
