MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a 12 month contract role with a client of ours located in Calgary. Lead the definition, validation, and traceability of Soft Launch requirements, including entry and exit criteria, business readiness measures, operating scenarios, and stakeholder acceptance needs.

Support Soft

Launch planning and execution by coordinating business activities, validating end-to-end processes, identifying readiness gaps, and supporting issue triage and resolution. Contribute to Go-Live planning, including cutover activities, business readiness, stakeholder communications, contingency planning, and post-Go-Live support and stabilization. Support the market transition by coordinating requirements and dependencies across business and technology teams, confirming operational impacts, and helping maintain continuity of market operations.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop business cases for proposed initiatives. Utilize analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive informed decision‑making. 10+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role, with specific experience in the electrical utility industry. Strong understanding of electrical utility operations, including grid management, asset management, and customer engagement.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software.



Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven track record of leading successful projects from inception to implementation, delivering measurable business value.

Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements in the electrical utility sector.

Experience managing multiple cross-functional projects to implement new and complex business lines.
