Advise TD’s Canadian Banking business in Toronto using strategic legal judgment, regulatory knowledge, and practical risk-calibrated counsel. Work 37.5 hours weekly.

As Senior Counsel, you will independently lead complex, sensitive, and ambiguous matters supporting Canadian Banking products and initiatives. You will advise senior business and control partners, translate legal issues into explicit guidance, and manage legal risk across federal and provincial requirements. The position also supports customer issues, regulatory developments, agreements, communications, relationships, and investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide risk-calibrated advice supporting business strategy and compliance
- Lead legal advice for significant product initiatives




- Assess regulatory changes affecting products and customer journeys
- Draft and review customer-facing agreements and communications
- Support regulatory relationships, investigations, issues, and complaints

Requirements:

- J.D. or LL.B. or equivalent professional certification
- Licensed to practice law in Ontario
- Seven or more years of relevant experience
- Consumer protection law knowledge strongly preferred
- Quebec licensing or French communication skills are assets
