Support oil sands upgrading operations at Horizon in Fort McMurray, operating equipment on a 7 x 7, 12-hour shift schedule. Canadian Natural seeks a Process Operator for the Secondary Upgrading Area. This safety-sensitive role involves maintaining reliable equipment operation, reviewing deficiencies, and communicating routine and non-routine conditions during turnover. Qualified operators will sample products, authorize Safe Work Permits, and prepare equipment for maintenance under Lock Out/Tag Out Standards. Key Responsibilities:

Review equipment deficiencies and initiate maintenance work requests Prepare equipment for maintenance activities safely Provide effective written and oral shift communications Prioritize, issue, and authorize Protected Work Permits Maintain a safe work environment through operating practices Requirements:

Fourth Class Power Engineering Certification required ABSA Third Class exams completed High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent Related NAIT or SAIT diploma considered Valid Class 5 Driver’s License Bring safe operating practices, maintenance preparation, and shift communication skills to Canadian Natural’s Horizon facility.
