About the Opportunity

Amped Electrical Contracting is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our growing team in the Greater Victoria area. This is an exciting opportunity for an estimator who understands the electrical contracting industry, takes pride in producing accurate and competitive estimates, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Strong, hands-on Accubid experience is essential, as this is our primary estimating platform. We are looking for someone with approximately five years of relevant electrical estimating experience, or an equivalent combination of industry knowledge and experience, who can take ownership of the estimating process and contribute to the continued growth of our business. This is an in-office/on-site position.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively with the team and being actively involved in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
- Utilize Accubid to develop accurate estimates covering labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, tender documents, and project scopes.
- Identify discrepancies, project risks, and opportunities for cost efficiencies.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Develop competitive bids while maintaining appropriate project margins.
- Identify engineering opportunities and alternative solutions.
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, suppliers,



and internal team members.
- Manage multiple estimates and tender deadlines.
- Support project handover with detailed estimating documentation and cost breakdowns.

What We're Looking For

- Approximately five years of electrical estimating experience, or equivalent industry experience and knowledge.
- Strong working knowledge of Accubid is a must.
- Experience estimating a combination of commercial, industrial, and residential electrical projects.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong understanding of electrical materials, labour requirements, and construction practices.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, accountable, and team-oriented approach.
