Lead nuclear procurement from RFQ through purchase-order closeout in Pickering, applying CSA standards and supplier negotiation expertise. Support Black & McDonald’s Power Generation team.

The Nuclear Buyer manages procurement activities for nuclear-class systems and structures. This senior position interprets BOMs and technical specifications, determines technical and quality requirements, and supports estimating and field staff. The work includes sourcing qualified suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, and coordinating purchasing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage procurement life cycles from RFQ through PO closeout
- Negotiate contracts covering cost, delivery, quality, and commercial terms
- Interpret BOMs and technical specifications for procurement requirements
- Track purchases, material changes,



schedules, and supplier documentation
- Issue orders and reconcile invoices for purchased items

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related experience
- Ten years’ procurement experience in nuclear or related projects
- Robust understanding of CSA N286, N285, and N299
- Experience with medium to high-risk projects valued $1–10 million
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and AS7/Passport
