Houdini FX leadership meets cinematic production at Image Engine in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a three-month contract starting September. As a Senior FX TD, you will deliver realistic effects for feature films and television. You will mentor junior and mid-level artists, apply supervisor notes, and develop technical and creative solutions. The work includes rigid body, particle, fluid, and cloth simulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Create realistic effects using Houdini pipeline tools
- Build and maintain FX tools, setups, and best practices
- Create shaders, render passes, slap comps, and FX comps
- Address notes and improve shots with FX Leads
- Mentor artists and explain cross-department workflows Requirements:
- Minimum three years’ feature film or television FX experience
- Excellent Houdini knowledge and demonstrated production experience
- Solid VEX, Hscript, compositing, and asset management knowledge
- Working knowledge of Nuke and common data formats
- Based in British Columbia and eligible to work in Canada Bring Houdini expertise, FX mentorship, and production problem-solving to Image Engine’s Vancouver visual effects projects.
