Houdini FX leadership meets cinematic production at Image Engine in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a three-month contract starting September. As a Senior FX TD, you will deliver realistic effects for feature films and television. You will mentor junior and mid-level artists, apply supervisor notes, and develop technical and creative solutions. The work includes rigid body, particle, fluid, and cloth simulations. Key Responsibilities:

Create realistic effects using Houdini pipeline tools Build and maintain FX tools, setups, and best practices Create shaders, render passes, slap comps, and FX comps Address notes and improve shots with FX Leads Mentor artists and explain cross-department workflows Requirements:

Minimum three years’ feature film or television FX experience Excellent Houdini knowledge and demonstrated production experience Robust VEX, Hscript, compositing, and asset management knowledge Working knowledge of Nuke and common data formats Based in British Columbia and eligible to work in Canada Bring Houdini expertise, FX mentorship, and production problem-solving to Image Engine’s Vancouver visual effects projects.
