Shape water resources decisions as a Senior Hydrologist with SLR Consulting, supporting mining, infrastructure, and resource development projects across Western Canada.
This senior position provides subject matter expertise across hydrologic processes, project planning, design, and mining-related decisions. You will lead investigations, hydrometric programs, predictive modelling, and water balance studies. Collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams supports practical solutions and robust project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hydrologic expertise for planning, design, and operational decisions
Lead water balance studies supporting predictive project analysis
Support Environmental Flow Needs assessments and flow recommendations
Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, forecasts, and client coordination
Contribute to proposals, business development, and technical team growth
Requirements
At least 10 years’ progressive hydrology or water resources experience
Experience with water balances in natural and developed systems
Proven project delivery, budgeting, scheduling, and client relationship experience
Working knowledge of provincial and federal water resources regulations
Willingness to travel for field programs and client meetings
Use applied hydrology, regulatory knowledge, and project leadership to influence water resources planning across SLR’s Western Canadian portfolio.
