Support thermal power plant operations through equipment repair and daily refrigeration maintenance at McGill University’s Ferrier Building. This is a permanent, full time position.

The maintenance attendant reports to the immediate supervisor, thermal power plant manager, or replacement. Responsibilities focus on maintaining and repairing equipment and instruments related to assigned activities. Daily maintenance covers the plant’s air conditioning and refrigeration machines, with required PPE in designated areas. English communication is assessed at level 1.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and repair thermal plant equipment
- Maintain and repair related instruments
- Complete daily air conditioning machine maintenance
- Complete daily refrigeration machine maintenance
- Follow designated-area mask and PPE requirements

Requirements:

- Second class steam certificate required
- B refrigeration fixed machinery mechanic certificate required
- Certification issued by the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec
- Authorization to work in Canada
- Willingness to work in the province of Quebec
