Our insurance client is seeking a Bilingual Technical Product Owner (8+ years) to lead complex digital and backend platform initiatives

Join a high-impact initiative within an insurance environment driving complex digital and backend platform outcomes. This role owns product delivery across discovery, execution, and adoption while partnering closely with engineering, architecture, and development teams. You will support security, modernization, and platform evolution with strong visibility across cross-functional teams.

13 month Contract,

Montreal, Hybrid, 2 days a week

Must Haves

- Bilingual French and English
- Proven background as a Technical Product Owner or Product Manager
- Experience collaborating with Technical stakeholder (Software developer, Tester, Architects, UX/UI teams)
- Strong understanding of Web development and SDLC
- Hands-on delivery in Agile and Scrum environments

Nice to Have

- Project experince that involved web development (Java, ReactJS, and NodeJS)
- Project experience or knowledge of API integrations and Apigee or API Gateway technologies, authentication/authorization, logging/monitoring, registration/account management, and security concepts (firewalls, network boundaries)
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale platform, security, integration, or modernization initiatives

Responsibilities

- Define and evolve product vision and strategy for high-impact initiatives
- Build and maintain back-end product roadmaps aligned with customer needs and business priorities




- Manage product backlog, security standards, system scalability
- Coordinate delivery activities across sprints and Program Increments
- Communicate status updates, risks, impacts, and mitigation plans to stakeholders
- Participate actively in design reviews, architecture discussions, and solutioning with developers
- Partner with developers, architects, QA teams, and technical leads to align delivery
- Support platform modernization, security enhancements, and backend service evolution
