Support diamond drilling operations with geological fieldwork and reporting as an Exploration Geologist at New Found Gold's Hammerdown Project.

Based near King's Point, Newfoundland and Labrador, this full-time position contributes to exploration activities around remote field sites. Responsibilities include core logging, contractor direction, field investigations, mapping, sampling, and report preparation. Candidates should hold a Geology or Environmental Sciences degree, with one to three years of core logging experience preferred in mining or exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct diamond drilling contractors and field crews
- Work around diamond drills during field activities
- Prepare drill core reports, files, maps, and sections




- Complete surficial mapping, sampling, and investigations
- Direct core labourers and geo-technicians during processing

Requirements:

- Geology or Environmental Sciences degree
- One to three years of core logging experience preferred
- Mine site or exploration experience preferred
- Robust organizational skills and work ethic
- Capacity for standing and lifting up to 50 pounds
