Lead regulatory investigations in Vancouver with BCCNM, applying investigative methodology and people leadership in a hybrid work model.

As Senior Investigator, you will supervise an assigned Investigations team within the Qualified Conduct Review program. You will oversee complaints, reports, and regulatory matters involving current and former BCCNM licensees. The work requires case supervision, quality assurance, evidence-based decision-making, and knowledge of administrative law principles.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise Investigators, workloads, development plans, performance expectations, and feedback

Review allegations, evidence, witnesses, scopes, milestones, and public-protection risks

Direct complex, sensitive, delayed, high-risk, and legally challenging investigations

Implement audits, quality standards, corrective actions, and follow-up processes





Approve investigative reports and substantive materials before decision-making review

Requirements

Master’s degree, Juris Doctor, LL.B., or equivalent relevant experience

Five or more years’ progressively responsible investigations or regulation experience

Experience supervising, mentoring, coaching, or leading professional staff

Advanced investigative planning, interviewing, evidence analysis, and report-writing knowledge

Ability to interpret legislation, bylaws, administrative law, and regulatory policy
