Support acute medicine patients at North Bay Regional Health Centre's Cartier AHF with patient-centred care and bilingual communication. This 40-bed unit provides transitional care off site.

As a Personal Support Worker, you will care for patients whose acute needs are met, supporting transitions to rehabilitation, long-term care, retirement homes, or other post-acute services. You will work with physicians, nurses, dietary staff, environmental services, and Infection Prevention and Control support. Meaningful activity, adaptable care, mobility support, and safety are central to the position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide care to medical patients in the alternate health facility
- Engage patients in meaningful activities

- Collaborate with physicians,



nurses, and support services
- Support safety and prevention of adverse health events

Requirements:

- Personal Support Worker or HealthCare Aide Certificate required
- Current Basic Life Support certificate within twelve months
- Required dementia, pharmacotherapy, falls, mobility, and delirium training
- Advanced English and French bilingualism required
- Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and computer skills
