Keep Kano's live games reliable through AWS, Docker, and infrastructure automation in a remote-first role for British Columbia residents.
As an intermediate engineer, you will improve the cloud systems behind Kano's long-running games. Your work spans EC2, ECS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, S3, Terraform, Chef, Ansible, and deployment pipelines. You will also support upgrades, migrations, monitoring, and on-call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve EC2, ECS, Lambda, and VPC infrastructure
- Support Docker services and deployment pipelines
- Complete upgrades, patching, and managed-service migrations
- Maintain CloudWatch, InfluxDB, Grafana, and Graylog
- Participate in incident reviews and on-call rotation
Requirements:
- Three-plus years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering
- AWS fundamentals across compute, networking, IAM, and monitoring
- Infrastructure-as-code and Bash, Python, or Ruby scripting
- Production Docker and database operations experience
- Testing, review, escalation, and operational judgment
