Interac seeks a Senior Legal Counsel with at least eight years of post-call experience in corporate legal departments and law firms. You will advise on technology contracting, outsourcing, third-party risk, privacy, cybersecurity, and financial services regulations. The role supports time-sensitive projects while balancing legal imperatives, enterprise strategy, and risk tolerance.

Experience with payment technologies and technology vendors is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic legal advice on business portfolios and emerging technologies

Draft, review, and negotiate diverse commercial technology contracts





Advise on contract operations in complex multi-vendor environments

Identify and resolve associated legal issues proactively

Mentor junior lawyers and develop internal legal precedents

Requirements

Law Degree and good-standing Law Society of Ontario membership

At least eight years of practical post-call legal experience

Experience spanning corporate legal departments and law firms

Eligibility to work full time for Interac Corp. in Canada

Knowledge of privacy, cybersecurity, CASL, and financial services requirements
