Supervise slag manufacturing operations for Amrize in Hamilton, coordinating steel mill materials, bulk shipping, and production schedules. This is a full-time salary position.
The Production Supervisor oversees daily output while optimizing equipment use and maximizing quality slag production within budgeted costs. You will manage seventeen unionized hourly employees operating continuously, from raw material transport through processing and shipping. Collaboration spans safety, maintenance, quality, environmental, process, and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
Direct production personnel across all operational activities
Monitor production indexes, productivity factors, and monthly costs
Prepare schedules and maintain forecast production targets
Oversee truck and Outstanding Lakes vessel slag shipments
Report capital expenditure and productivity improvement needs
Requirements
Five years of slag manufacturing or related industrial experience
Excellent knowledge of steel mill technology and manufacturing processes
Bachelor degree, CET, or related education
Very strong computer and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and travel within Ontario
Bring slag manufacturing, production planning, workforce supervision, and process knowledge to Amrize’s Hamilton facility.
