Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely as a Technician serving York Region residents every Saturday. Apply sorting and processing skills at the depot.

This Technician position supports GFL processing facilities by receiving municipal household and special waste from residents. You will identify, sort, consolidate, and pack materials into appropriate containers. The work includes customer service, communication, facility maintenance, equipment reporting, and required safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Receive MHSW from York Region residents visiting the depot
- Identify, sort, consolidate, and pack waste materials
- Maintain clean grounds and facility areas
- Report equipment requiring repair to supervisors
- Follow depot operating rules and supervisor instructions

Requirements:

- Availability Saturdays from 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
- Good communication skills with employees and the public
- Ability to understand all onsite training documents
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times
- Ability to perform moderately labour intensive, repetitive tasks
