This Claims Adjuster I role serves customers across Intact's growing Western team. You will investigate entry-level inside property claims, interpret policy wordings, determine coverage, assess damage, and support equitable settlements. Strong organization, communication, negotiation, and computer skills are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open claims and respond to customer inquiries through a phone queue
- Assign new claims to appropriate property claims representatives
- Answer questions about the property claims process
- Analyze information, interpret policies, and determine coverage
- Record explicit notes supporting transferable work
Requirements:
- One year of customer service or administrative experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated negotiation and conflict management skills
- Strong computer, data entry, and time management skills
- Superior organizational and results-driven skills
