TYCROP is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Fraser Valley.

Join our dynamic Mechanical Engineering team and play a key role in leading complex engineering projects and guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, high-performance products. This role takes ownership of the full product lifecycle—from concept development to commissioning—while driving strategic decisions, ensuring technical excellence, and fostering collaboration across departments. Your work will span design, optimization, and beyond—bringing ideas to life and ensuring they perform at their best.

Responsibilities:

· Strategic Leadership: Lead engineering teams and provide technical direction throughout all phases of product development

· Design Oversight: Review and approve CAD designs, calculations, and specifications; ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements

· Customer Engagement: Collaborate with clients to translate needs into cost-effective, innovative solutions

· Mentorship: Coach and develop junior engineers, technologists, and technicians to build a high-performing team

· Lead & Collaborate: Supervise and mentor technicians, technologists, and engineers; review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates

· Customer-Focused Engineering: Translate customer needs into practical, cost-effective solutions and ensure products meet all requirements

· Quality & Compliance: Validate product performance, safety, and compliance while mitigating risks

· Lifecycle Support: Provide engineering expertise from concept through production and beyond, including sales support and manufacturing guidance

· Project Management: Develop and monitor project plans to meet time, cost, and quality objectives

· Knowledge Sharing:



Document best practices and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement

· Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive product documentation for customers and internal teams

Specific Skills:

· Strong technical communication and leadership skills

· Proficiency in MS Office and mechanical design principles

· Expertise in DFMA and structural integrity analysis

· Ability to oversee prototyping, testing, and validation processes

· Solid project and resource management capabilities

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience in product design
- Registered as an EIT with EGBC
